The mission of the Department of Anatomy is to advance our knowledge of clinical, systems, and cellular neuroscience, focusing on the structure, organization, and function of cerebral systems, and to produce the next generation of educators for medical and graduate schools for the 21st century.

The rigorous core curriculum integrates traditional aspects of anatomical structure, function, and nomenclature with cell and developmental biology, biochemistry, and cell, tissue, and organ physiology.
Our graduate education program includes didactic coursework across the field of neuro-science, intensive and interactive seminar discussions, ongoing journal clubs and a yearly presentation of a graduate’s work to the scientific community.
